Our residents consistently do well on the American Board of Anesthesiology / American Society of Anesthesiologists In-Training examination and on the American Board of Anesthesiology Certification Examinations. Over the past 20 years, over 98% of our graduates have achieved Board Certification with over 90% successful on the first try. Training obtained in our residency program makes our residents highly competitive for jobs in both the private practice and academic setting. Our residents consistently obtain the position of their choice. On average over the last 10 years, 25% of our graduating residents enter academic practice and 75% enter private practice.
A recent survey of our graduates Anesthesiology Group Leadership was conducted (years 2002-6 covered). The survey was an excellent sample with 71 of 92 questionnaires returned. Virtually ALL of our graduates were rated as the best clinicians in their respective Anesthesiology Practices and were considered the "go-to" consultants when difficult cases arose.
