PGY-1 Residents Starting July, 2008

David Edwards

David completed his undergraduate education in Zoology at Brigham Young University in Utah.  Following this, he enrolled at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland in the M.D. / Ph.D. program and will receive both degrees this May.  David enjoys medical history writing, painting, web design, photography, Korean language / literature and scuba diving.

Neil Ellis

Neil completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of California in Santa Cruz.  Following this, he achieved a Master’s Degree in traditional Chinese Medicine from the Five Branches Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, also in Santa Cruz.  He then attended the Hangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China for a year.  Neil then enrolled in the Eastern Virginia School of Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia and will receive his medical degree this May.  Neil enjoys the martial arts, water sports, winter sports, culinary arts and travel.

Gigi Geiger

Gigi received her undergraduate degree in Nursing at the University of Florida.  Following this, she completed post-baccalaureate work in Microbiology at the University of Florida while working as a nurse in our Surgical ICU.  She then enrolled at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and will receive her degree this May.  Gigi enjoys softball at all levels (player, coach, mother), rowing, dogs, Peruvian culture, and spending time with her family.

 Sandra Gonzalez Rodriguez

Sandra completed her undergraduate and medical education at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Colombia, South America.  Following work in the Emergency Department and Inpatient units, she completed some initial training in Anesthesiology in Bogota, Colombia and then moved to the United States.  Sandra enjoys literature, art, classical music and sports.

James (Will) Greyard

Will completed his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.  Following this, he enrolled at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, SC and will receive his medical degree this May.  Will enjoys church activities, golf, distance running, playing the piano, and weightlifting.

Robin Lines

Robin completed her undergraduate education in History at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.  Following this, she enrolled in the University of Utah School of Medicine and will receive her medical degree this May.  Robin enjoys home organization, board games, the Sundance Film Festival, and spending quality time with her family and children.

Peaches Orallo

Peaches received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.  Following this, she enrolled at the University of South Florida School of Medicine and will receive her medical degree this May.  Peaches loves to travel with her family, and is very active in music – both as a listener and a performer of the guitar and piano.  She also enjoys running, tennis and surfing.

Sephalie Patel

Sephalie received her undergraduate degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.  Following this, she completed a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA.  Following this, she enrolled in Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta and will receive her medical degree this May.  Sephalie enjoys yoga, meditation, photography and reading.

 


PGY-2 Residents Starting July, 2009

Michael Arnold

Michael completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio.  Following this, he entered the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio and will receive his osteopathic degree this May.  Michael enjoys tennis, racquetball, reading and movies.

Adrienne Buckman

Adrienne completed her undergraduate degrees in Zoology and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Florida in Gainesville.  Following this, she entered the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa and will receive her medical degree this May.  Adrienne enjoys water sports including fishing, free diving, spear fishing, wakeboarding and sailing.  She also is a saltwater aquarium enthusiast.  She enjoys running and tennis and is an avid college sports fan.  She is couples matching with Matthew Warrick (see his entry below) and both will be completing a preliminary surgery year here at the University of Florida prior to joining us.

Justin Cueto

Justin completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Michigan State University in East Lansing.  Following this, he entered the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri and will receive his osteopathic degree this May.  Justin enjoys trail jogging, 5/10k races, ultimate frisbee, skiing, basketball, scuba diving, fishing, camping, gardening and cooking.

William McCoy

William completed his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.  Following this, he completed a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Science at Barry University in Miami Beach.  He then entered Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale and will receive both his osteopathic and Masters of Public Health degrees this May.  William enjoys softball, flag football, golf, and saltwater aquariums.

Dana McNorton

Dana received her undergraduate degree in Health Science Education from the University of Florida.  She then enrolled at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri and will receive her osteopathic degree this May.  Dana enjoys jogging, aerobics, shopping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Matthew Merrell

Matthew received his undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Following this, he entered the Wake Forest University School of Medicine and will receive his medical degree this May.  Matthew enjoys music (violin), martial arts (taekwondo), basketball, golf, running, mountain biking, skiing and tennis.  He is also currently obtaining his private pilot license.

Robert Timmerman

Robbie received his undergraduate degree in Biological Science from Clemson University in Clemson, SC.  Following this, he entered the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and will receive his medical degree this May.  Robbie enjoys rock climbing, hiking, wilderness medicine, ultimate frisbee, intramural sports, photography and cooking.  Robbie will be completing a preliminary surgical training year here at the University of Florida prior to joining us.

Matthew Warrick

Matthew completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Eckard College in St. Petersburg, Florida.  Following this, he entered the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa and will receive his medical degree this May.  Matthew enjoys water sports including sailing, competitive swimming, fishing, free diving, and spear fishing.  He also enjoys intramural basketball and flag football.  He is couples matching with Adrienne Buckman (see above) and will also be completing a preliminary surgical year of training here at the University of Florida prior to joining us.
